A large eye-catching graphic or photo is a great way to draw attention to your billboard. Cutouts are another way to gain visibility. Keep the message and concept simple. Too many words on a billboard is like trying to read a book while driving. Stick with six to eight words. Be sure the words are large. 

Some colors are easier to read on billboards than others. For example, black on yellow is a great choice. However, red on black doesn’t work on billboards. Back lighted units are available in some markets. 

If you’ll be posting full-color billboards, the paper can be expensive for a short viewing. Vinyl may be a cheaper alternative if your message has longevity.
